Activities Aaliya did this week:
Aaliya is 21 months old She used our animal stamps for the first time. Her facial expression on the picture on the right melts my heart…
I introduced her to this peg activity and it was a hit! She loves these fine motor type of activities and this really works her pincer grasp.
The weather this week has been really hot so I put out this fishing activity for the kids. (I put some bath ducks in a bucket of water and gave them a toy fish net.) By the end of it they were both soaking wet.
I bought Aaliya a shapes sorting block. She really enjoys this and can concentrate on putting the shapes in the right place for a long time. She does need me to be near her when she plays with this when she needs help otherwise she does sometimes get frustrated.
Aaliya played dress up but with actual pajamas so she could actually sleep in her outfit. She looks like such a princess here!
Aaliya also did some painting this week when we this this adorable printable owl painting activity.
Deen is 4 years and 1 month old.
Activities Deen did this week:
Deen did my printable cut and paste Disney activity and asked me to make more mickey mouse activities for him. He also did the peg activity this week and made me a rainbow.
He and Aaliya pushed and shoved each other sweetly shared this shapes sorter block.
This is where Deen surprised me this week. I opened up the Brainy Blocks that we got for Deen’s birthday and instead of me explaining to him what to do he promptly explained to me how this works. He said that you have to find the right shapes and place them on the colored area of the page. Once you are done with that then you place the shapes together to make the bigger shape. The star, square, and diamond etc are blank inside so he has to figure out himself how to put them together to make the bigger shape. I was SHOCKED when he showed me the result. He said he does this activity at school… Good job teachers!!
Deen painted a few times this week while we made big owls and mini owls.

Here are my favorite pictures from this week:
Deen your playfulness and constant hugs fill my heart and soul with more love than I could have ever imagined possible… Your hugs uplift each second of my day… I love you with all that I am…
Aaliya, I am loving how your eyes look straight into my soul… I hope you know and feel how much you are loved. My favorite words from you are “Mama, I need milty!” I especially love hearing it during the quiet of the night as I hear you rolling around in your crib and suddenly deciding you need milk this instant. I always pick you up, give you a tight hug, and a soft kiss and say, “Mama’s here my love…”
