We made Kool Aid Play Dough today using a recipe from Jolanthe at No Ordinary Moments Blog. The best part about using Koolaid to make play dough is that each flavor has a very distinct smell. Koolaid Play Dough is a great sensory experience for a child (and adult too). We used Grape, Orange and Berry Blue.
Aaliya wanted “lellow” (yellow) but at that stage I ran out of cream of tartar.
I will be taking these out to play regularly for the kids because besides play dough being a lot of fun it is also great for a child’s pencil grip. (Deen needs to strengthen his pencil grip.)
I presented the activity to Deen like the picture above. I had all the ingredients ready for him so that I would not be distracted by measuring out the ingredients.
I had enough to worry about with him being near the stove.
Then Mama did the mixing for him until the play dough formed into a ball.
That is how Aaliya’s hair looks every day after she has her nap…
This weekend I finally found my camera charger so I can finally start posting again!
I took Deen and Aaliya for an easter egg hunt last week at one of the malls near by. They had such a great time that I knew I had to create another hunt for the kids at home.
I hid the eggs in their appropriate hiding spot and he eagerly went searching for his clues.
Because of all the colors in this toy box Deen didn’t actually find the egg at first glance.
I have uploaded a copy of my Printable Easter Egg Hunt so that you guys can download/print it. The first page is exactly as below:
It includes the clues (which is great for a preschooler or younger child).
The second page of the pdf has no text so that you can create your own clues for your own child. (This would be great for an older child who is up for more of a challenge.)
You can download/print the Printable Easter Egg Hunt here.
When printing please choose the option that says “Scale to fit paper”. This ensures that it prints at the right size for your size of paper.
I hope you guys like it! If you do use my Printable Easter Egg Hunt I’d love to know about it!
