Digital Scrapbooking

Today I made a really boyish shaped board book for my son and boy was it easy! Let me show you how:

I downloaded this really cool quickpage album from Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs. The album comes pre prepared, all you need to do is add your pictures and print. I then adhered it to chipboard…
here, have a look at this quick tutorial:

After adding my own journaling and pictures (you don’t need to add journaling, thats optional) I printed it out on HP advanced photo paper (glossy)

Then you cut…
Glue cut pieces to chipboard…I used a tape runner and some permanent glue…

Cut again with your scissors.…

(Don’t forget to glue the backs to the pieces after you cut them out…)

Use a sand block to smooth down messy edges…

Punch holes on the hole marks (i used my crop-a-dile big bite)… and embellish as you like :)

I would have preffered to use binding rings but i didnt have any … so I used a pipe cleaner and embellished it with a pretty ribbon..

Here are the pages inside:

That stamp is his real foots stamp at birth..

After being inspired by the Explorations blog I downloaded these fruit piece for the very hungry caterpillar. I printed it out on cardstock, laminated it and then cut holes in each piece. We used a fuzzy pipe cleaner to be the caterpillar and as I read the book Deen threads the caterpillar through the hole as he ‘eats’ through the fruits. I threaded a button at the bottom of the pipe cleaner so that the fruits wouldn’t fall off…

We also did finger puppet play with the three litle pigs

When we were finished reading and playing out the story with the finger puppets Deen decided to ‘read’ to me… it was the cutest thing ever!

I did a lot of things to the blog today, i made a header, created a layout (or atleast tried to… lol), made an e-mail button as well as a link to me button.. (although i’m still trying how to get the link to me text box to work.. i’m having no luck with that no matter how hard i try , gr ;(
Here is the graphic button I made though:

what are your favorite websites for blogging and html tips? I also need to know how to get all my image sizes to be the same… (oh come on.. i’m still new at this! )

After making the header I was inspired to make a digital scrapbook page.. I haven’t digi scrapped for over a year! The pictures are also a year old but hey better late than never…
