Visiting our local pumpkin patches is a part of our Halloween family traditions. Last year, when most fall festivities were canceled or at least severely restricted, nothing bummed me and my kids out more than missing out on Halloween. We’re crazy about the costumes, the candy, and, most of all, our annual trips to the pumpkin patches in Orange County. Thankfully, this year marks the eagerly-awaited return of carnival rides and games, petting zoos, haunted houses, big, bright pumpkins, and more. Most pumpkin patches in Orange County have gotten an early start and are already welcoming Halloween enthusiasts and we can’t wait to hit some of our favorite spots.
Pumpkin Patches Orange County
We’re lucky to have plenty of options when it comes to pumpkin patches in Orange County, but to save you some research and time, I’ve put together a round-up of the pumpkin patches my family loves to check out when our favorite holiday hits.
A couple of quick tips before your trip: first, because COVID-related restrictions and protocols are constantly evolving, it’s a good idea to call ahead or check the website for the pumpkin patch you plan to visit for regulations or operational changes. Next, many of the pumpkin patches in Orange County have free admission, but most charge extra for attractions, so remember to budget for additional tickets or wristbands you might need to purchase. Finally, most pumpkins are priced by the pound, not size, so keep that in mind when picking the perfect pumpkin out.
