Activities A did this week:
A is 21 months old
She used our animal stamps for the first time. Her facial expression on the picture on the right melts my heart…
I introduced her to this peg activity and it was a hit! She loves these fine motor type of activities and this really works her pincer grasp.
The weather this week has been really hot so I put out this fishing activity for the kids. (I put some bath ducks in a bucket of water and gave them a toy fish net.) By the end of it they were both soaking wet.
I bought A a shapes sorting block. She really enjoys this and can concentrate on putting the shapes in the right place for a long time. She does need me to be near her when she plays with this when she needs help otherwise she does sometimes get frustrated.
A played dress up but with actual pajamas so she could actually sleep in her outfit. She looks like such a princess here!
A also did some painting this week when we this this adorable printable owl painting activity.
D is 4 years and 1 month old.
This is where D surprised me this week. I opened up the Brainy Blocks that we got for D’s birthday and instead of me explaining to him what to do he promptly explained to me how this works. He said that you have to find the right shapes and place them on the colored area of the page. Once you are done with that then you place the shapes together to make the bigger shape. The star, square, and diamond etc are blank inside so he has to figure out himself how to put them together to make the bigger shape. I was SHOCKED when he showed me the result. He said he does this activity at school… Good job teachers!!
D painted a few times this week while we made big owls and mini owls.
