This baby tape activity is such a great activity for babies and toddlers to increase their body awareness.
I do this activity with A sometimes before bedtime when I can see that she still has a little bit more play time in her. It helps her settle down.
All you need is some tape, preferably one that isn’t very sticky (or a sticker).
I use masking tape(I think that’s what it is). It only has enough stickiness to work once and is very gentle when I remove it(probably because it doesn’t stick that well).
I wonder what this type of tape is for anyway? Since it sticks so poorly…
Anyway…
Stick it on their hand…
On their nose… (this one is always cute to watch)
On their toes… (If toes are too easy try sticking it on their heels.)
Simple, easy, and most importantly FUN!

August 5, 2010 at 5:44 pmThis looks fun! Masking tape is for masking when you wait – for putting around your ceiling or the light switches etc then you paint and get a straight line but it’s really easy to peel off afterwards – you learn something new everyday!
Have a lovely day,
Jade

August 6, 2010 at 10:52 amThis activity was totally inspired by my daughter who kept wearing the masking tape roll as a bracelet and insisted I use it hehe. Kids know exactly what they want. Thanks for such a lovely comment Donna
