This weeks Blog hop theme is encouragement.
This picture gives me a lot of encouragement with regard to parenting…
I hold his hand lightly as I help him discover the world… curiousity fills his face…
An encouraging quote:
In today’s day life is always so busy that there is no time to waste on the impossible… but, if you never have time to reach for the impossible… how then do you know where your boundary line of possible is? A life would be so boring if you stay stagnant and in one particular spot. Does a caterpillar know that it’s going to emerge into a beautiful butterfly?
Which brings me to an important life lesson and one in which I hope to instill in my child:
Instead of giving myself reasons why I can’t, I give myself reasons why I can…
Because if you believe in yourself enough you can attain your hearts desire.. YOU will then make it happen.
Isn’t that the whole point of the popular childrens book “The Little Engine That Could”?
When I read this to my son he always repeats the line naturally “I Think I can.. I think I can.” When the train successfully reaches the top of the mountain my son says “I thought I could… I thought I could” because the train owed his success to telling himself that he could… Believing in himself.
