Super simple activity alert and one I throw into our week as many times as possible! Find toys in your playroom and throw them into a water bin. Simple water based activity! I just threw in some random themed pieces and ping pong balls and my daughter enjoyed playing with this simple water play activity for an hour. First she began by throwing the ping pong balls into the water and then it turned into a water play activity. Keep those baby bath cups once they outgrow playing with them in the bath. They are wonderful for sensory play!

I wanted to give you a peek into our Halloween Reading Book Nook area. A love for reading starts at home. Placing books with the front picture showing is a great way to catch your child's interest (especially for those young children who can't read) and changing out the books you showcase encourages the excitement.
I am a book worm and I have A LOT of books at home. I've purchased most of these and now I also receive book gifts in the mail too. Children do better with less choices. That's why I select a few books to take out each week. For Halloween I took out 5 'new' books each week and now at the end of the month they are all out.
Some of my favorites here include:
- If you're spooky and you know it- This is too cute with a rhythm like the If You're Happy and You Know it song. Children can follow the actions. - Room On The Broom is a sure favorite.
- There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat (not pictured but it's in my daughters room) is another favorite. My daughter had me purchase all the Old Lady swallowed books.. they are AMAZING and great for memorization and sequencing.
- Spooky Pookie by Sandra Boynton is good for the younger crowd.
- Stumpkin is a new book about a sweet + gorgeous pumpkin without a stem. No one seems to pick him because of his lack of stem. It's a good book that pulls forward a lot of conversations and feelings.
