I am a huge fan of monthly subscription boxes for kids, but I haven’t ever received one for myself. The excitement of receiving a surprise in the mail was joyous.
In my FabFitFun review, I’m going to be honest here and tell you that when I first opened the FabFitFun box, I was underwhelmed. This was the first FabFitFun box I have ever received and looking at the products inside, I wasn’t sure what I really thought. It seemed like random products put together, but was there anything in here that I truly needed and that I would have purchased on my own?
Update: 5/10/20: I actually got to try out each of the products and I must say, I really do like the products. I love the sugar scrub and have almost used up all the scrub, I use the Aveda damage remedy hair cream daily and the body souffle has been a great moisturizer.

I think that part of my disappointment was the fact that I already have a hair iron that I LOVE. The GHD hair iron that I’ve had has lasted me years and years… I didn’t need another iron.

FabFitFun Review
I recommend this if you are someone who likes to try out new products or if you are looking for a new hair iron. The hair iron cost alone makes it far worth the cost of the box. I like the variety of items found inside and love the inclusion of earrings and hair care.
However, I don’t love the hair iron nearly as much as I love my GHD hair iron. The wallet is a nice color but I already have a few wallets that I like to use. The earrings are cute and useful.
I love the smell of the juice cleanse squares. They are really nice. I am also excited to use the damage remedy product by Aveda.
Do I think the box was worth $39-$49? If you are someone who wants to try new things and who likes receiving a surprise box every so often then yes.. for sure. Treat yourself… give a subscription to spoil one of your friends. The value of what you are getting is good and you may find products you really need.
If you are a minimalist or are very picky on what you use… Then it likely won’t be worth it for you. I think it truly just depends on the type of person you are.
Also, there is an option to be able to customize the box using products you would like… I wasn’t given the option to do this and I think that would have made a world of a difference. I would have been able to skip the hair iron and substitute it for something else that I could have made use of.
I think it’s good value for the money.
Update 5/10/20 – After spending a few months with the products in the box, I must say I am very happy and pleased with some of the items. I think it would have been better if I got to choose some of the products in my box. (Since this box was sent to me, I didn’t get to choose items like those of you who are subscribed do. I think the FabFitFun box concept is a great way to find new products.
