Lately it seems like most kids movies are being released in a 3d version(only). After watching Toy Story 3 and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs with my son and his giant 3d glasses my arms and hands were hurting. I had to literally hold the 3d glasses to his face the entire time because no matter how well I positioned them they would keep slipping off. Although I’m not a huge fan of kids movies being in 3d my son enjoys watching movies in the movie theater with his cousins.
I think it should be obvious to movie makers that if you are making an animated movie or a movie with a child viewer in mind then kid sized 3d glasses are a MUST. Here is a quick tip on how to make adult 3d glasses more child friendly.
All you need is some elastic. Cut a piece of elastic, take it with you to the movie, tie it to your childs glasses and voila! 3d glasses that stay on your childs head!
You won’t have to worry about these falling off! I promise!
Let your hands relax and enjoy your popcorn while you watch the new Shrek Movie!
P.S. I see that RealD has now released a kid sized version of their 3d glasses but for those of us who don’t have them yet(me in South Africa), this is a great fix!

Great tip here. It is always a struggle to get these glasses to stay on the little one’s heads. I will have to give this a try and report back on how it turned out. I have a good feeling about this tip. Thanks for the suggestion!
