Melissa and Doug Ice Cream
I was creating a dramatic play space for my children in our playroom when I came across the Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Cart Toy. I was a little iffy on whether it was worth the price but the reviews were so favorable! After thinking on it for a few weeks I decided it would be the perfect time to try it out.
You can watch the video below to see a dramatic play idea example. This is how my children use the toy.
If you are keen on a parent video review with me giving you a quick tour of the ice cream cart, let me know in the comments below.

Ice Cream Cart Toy
I am really excited to report that I am very happy with this toy and i’d say it is one of the best toddler toys. It was easy to put together and has been center stage in many pretend play games amongst my children. The most pleasant surprise was that my 8 year old daughters friends have all loved coming over to play. I thought it was more suited to my 4 year old (as well as 2 and 3 year olds). Surprisingly, 9 year olds were playing with it too!
What is included:
The official name of the Melissa And Doug ice cream cart toy is Melissa & Doug Wooden Snacks and Sweets Food Cart. I bought it here.
Everything you see in the ice cream picture is included. It is not only an ice cream cart but also a hot dog stand.
It includes 40 food pieces from ice cream cones, popsicles, cookies to pretzels, condiment cups, soda and pretend ketchup and mustard too! My children really love the bell!
Who knew an ice cream cart / ice cream truck toy could provide this many giggles and fun?
