Things To Do In Dubai With Kids
Dubai is a city filled with high buildings, beautiful lights and many fun filled opportunities. There are always new activities, creative ideas, and unique places opening up which keeps it fresh and makes it an exciting holiday destination. With three kids, my husband and I are always on the lookout for the best kid friendly adventures. I have compiled a list of 10 fun things to do with kids in Dubai that we have loved and that I would highly recommend! There are so many fun activities in Dubai for kids.
Kidzania is a little “town” located inside The Dubai Mall and is a heaven on earth for kids. Children can allow their imagination to go wild while they transform themselves into working any “job” that they would like. They can be a doctor, a pilot, a singer, a firefighter, … the list is endless. Definitely don’t miss out on this Dubai Kids activity!
2. Bounce Dubai
Bounce Dubai is the biggest indoor trampoline universe. There are so many trampolines that your child can jump on where they can do tricks, play dodgeball, play basketball and more! This place is full of active fun. It is also perfect for Mom and Dad to join in and work off some of those extra calories from all the amazing food in Dubai.
3. Aquaventure at the Atlantis or Yas Water world in Abu Dhabi
Aquaventure Waterpark at the Atlantis Palm is perfect for a fun filled day spent in the water. There are a lot of slides, activities, and play areas to keep you and your kids from ever getting bored!
Yas Water World is located in Abu Dhabi (approximately an hours drive from Dubai) but we enjoyed this one slightly more than the Aquaventure at the Atlantis. It could just be our kids ages at the time (8, 5, and 1) but it really was so much fun!
Helpful tip: Book a Cabana for the day so that you have a place of rest under the shade. It includes drinks, towels and a mini fridge!
4. Dolphin Encounter
The Dolphin Encounter at the Atlantis in Dubai is an experience of a lifetime. While it is pricey I have to say… it is worth every penny. There are five different encounters to choose from and I can promise you that this will be an unforgettable experience. You can swim with the Dolphins, dance with them and kiss them too!
5. Dubai Dolphinarium
Dubai Dolphinarium is not nearly as well known as the other places on this list but it still provides for excitement with its dolphin, seal and bird shows. There are wonderful acrobatics, dancing, singing and jumping through hoops in their indoor arena. There is also a play area outside where children can “walk on water” and play on their fun jumping castles.
6. Ski Dubai
Ski Dubai is an indoor ski center located in the Mall of Emirates. Children can go for ski lessons, play with the snow, ski, snowboard and shoot down the toboggan run. Ski Dubai allows kids to enjoy a snow filled experience no matter what the weather is like outside.
7. iFly Dubai
iFly Dubai – Have you or your kids ever imagined what it would be like to fly? Then dream no more at iFly Dubai. iFly Dubai is an indoor skydiving center that allows you to experience human flight. It is safe for kids, challenging for adults and exciting for teens.
The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is located in the Dubai Mall and the Lost Chambers Aquarium is located in the Atlantis. Both offer beautiful and peaceful views of the most beautiful fish. This one keeps the children intrigued.
9. Dessert Safari
The Dessert Safari night package includes Dune bashing, camel rides, a beautiful sun set, and a lovely BBQ dinner. This is definitely a unique to Dubai experience and one that is worth the unforgettable
scary thrilling experience.
10. Ferrari World
Ferrari World is located in Abu Dhabi and is great for Ferrari lovers. The whole indoor theme park is Ferrari themed. I didn’t particularly think this place was anything amazing (compared to Disney World or Universal Studio’s) but so many of my friends absolutely love it. Their attraction Formula Rossa was really nice though. You reach a speed of 240km/h in under 5 seconds.
My major annoyance about this place is that basic rides have an absurd height limit whereas similar rides at Disney World have no height restriction at Disney World at all. This leads to many tears from the younger and shorter kids in the group. They definitely need to rethink their height restrictions.
Here is an extra recommendation for little girls: The Hello Kitty Spa!
The Hello Kitty Spa offers a unique pampering session for your little girl. Their signature Hello Kitty Bow hair style is adorable and girls love the special attention! This is one of my daughters favorite things to do in Dubai! For girls, this is one of the cutest things to do in Dubai.
