General Questions

What type of paper do you print on?

If I am doing a once-off printable activity we use printer paper.
For art activities or activities that need more durability I use card stock. I also think cardstock is easier for little hands to grasp on to.
If I need the activity to be re-useable I use cardstock or printer paper and place it into a dry erase pocket. If I want to add velcro dots to it then I will normally laminate the activity.

What are your most used supplies for printable activities?

I am linking my favorite supplies below.

Get Trouble

If you’ve gone through a blog post looking for a printable activity, here is where to find it.

Our new printable activity box is below, but we also have 2 more printable box variations as shown below.

For the first box you would need to enter your name and e-mail address then hit, “Get the activity now.”

The printable will then be e-mailed to the e-mail address you included.

Alternatively, we also have these older 2 printable boxes that will slowly be updated to the above box. The links still work.

I can’t find the get box. Where is it?

All our get boxes are currently being changed over to the box you see above. There is also our old version of the get box that includes a pink box that says, “Click here to get the printable.” Then enter your e-mail address. You will then receive a copy of the printable at the e-mail address you entered or you may be redirected to the PDF.
However, if you try that and it doesn’t work please send me an e-mail at [email protected] so I can get this fixed.

I didn’t receive the printable.

Step 1.) Look in your spam folder for an e-mail from nadia@funwithmama.com
Step 2.) Search your e-mail inbox for my e-mail address

I am already subscribed, why do I need to enter my e-mail address again?

When you enter your e-mail address into the get box it validates your subscription. It wont subscribe you twice.

Printing Questions

Why is the activity printing with a black box around some of the images?

This is likely due to a computer program error.
Make sure you are viewing and printing the file from Adobe Reader (it’s free!) Do not print from Preview on Mac.

Why does my file say it is password protected?

It is password protected for editing only. This is to protect the copyright of my work and the clip artist’s work. Printing will still be allowed. Editing will not.

I’m not happy with the sizing and would prefer for my printable to be smaller, can you change this?

I make the files 8.5 by 11 so that those who want to print at this size can. It is very easy to then change the printer settings to make the file smaller (however, I can’t go larger.)
To make your file smaller you can go into your printer settings and under the layout section that says pages per sheet click 2. You can also adjust your settings by choosing percentage (if you want to size it differently.)

Activity FAQ – I am not sure how to use the activity

We have a post all about the activities you see on the blog and how to use them. See this post: Activity FAQ.
