I’m sure you have heard of this latest toy craze that has not only hit the USA but has also become a worldwide craze! Yes, you guessed right… Hand Fidget Spinners. Don’t worry, you don’t have to buy those fidget spinners that EVERYONE already has.. how about you make a unique fidget spinner that is above the craze? This post contains 7 DIY hand fidget spinners with videos.

I’ll be honest, I recommend you at least purchase one of these spinners so that you and your kids can get a real life feel for this fidget toy that helps children with ADHD concentrate. This will also help your children understand the mechanics of how the toy works. Then you can branch out into creating your own DIY versions.

When my kids came home asking me for fidget spinners I couldn’t understand the concept or why my kids were so attracted to what seemed to be something I didn’t find interesting at all. Apparently, adult’s just don’t get it!

If you are new to fidget spinners (WHERE DO YOU LIVE?!?!?!) you might want to read up more about what fidget spinners are.

While fidget spinners can calm anxiety they are also being banned in many classrooms due to misuse. They have become a distraction. You can read the pros and cons of spinners here. Also have a look here to see why schools have banned fidget spinners.

How to make your own hand spinner fidget toys

There are some wonderful how to video’s on youtube that are worth checking out. Here is a round up of my favorite few!

1. These cardboard fidget spinners are adorable and look simple to make! They show you exactly how to make this toy using cardboard. (We always have a lot of that at home!). This diy fidget spinner without bearings comes with  a printable template.

2. I’m sure like any home with children your house is loaded with lego pieces. use those pieces to create this amazing Lego Fidget Spinners! The kids will be using up those lego’s in an unusual way and they will be learning so much.

3. These sturdy wooden fidget spinners are definitely a more professional version of fidget spinners. The kids might find this one a little tough but these would be amazing for the adults to try!

4. These glitter filled bottle cap fidget spinners definitely take the cake as being the most shiny and pretty fidget spinners.

5. Here is another lego fidget spinner that is different from the one above but equally as fun!

6. These edible fidget spinners look delicious and very creative! A parent will definitely need to help with these but hey, that means we get to help during the chocolate eating session too!

7. My kids tried these lego fidget cubes and it was so much fun for them to build! They also didn’t need my help and the siblings problem solved together.
