Here is a simple yet effective activity that is great for a baby 9 months and older. Take a small bear (trinket) or something similar to that and let your child see you place it in the organza bag. Let her watch how you have put it in and since the organza bag is clear she will know that the item is still inside.
Then give her the bag and have her figure out how to get to the item.
If the hidden item is something that interests her she will be motivated to figure out why she can see the item and how she can get to it.
I know that it seems like a common sense activity but to a 9 month old this provides a wonderful challenge fueled by their curiosity.
I didn’t have a bigger organza bag otherwise I would have used that to make this activity a little bit easier for her.
This activity is great for the supermarket, while in the car and on the go (as long as the item is big enough not to pose a choking hazard) and for the five minutes that you may need to keep your child busy.
Simple, effective, mess free, and FUN!

I know I've got a bag like that somewhere . . . off to find it!
