The craft stick reindeer ornament is a super simple Christmas craft that can easily be hung from any Christmas tree. It’s a great preschool activity as well.

Best of all, the craft is inexpensive and easy enough for kids of all ages to make!

We often make one or more of these every single Christmas, because the kids enjoy making them so much and it’s fun to see how the kids’ skill levels change from year to year.

If you want to do the same, write your child’s name and the year on the ornaments they make. Let them name the reindeer as well, for a bit of extra flair.

Brown marker
Red pom pom
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaner

Craft Stick Reindeer Ornament Tutorial

Follow along with this easy tutorial to make your own popsicle stick reindeer ornament.

First, have your child color the craft sticks brown on both sides and the edges.

This can be a bit messy, so provide some newspaper or other scrap paper under the craft sticks to protect your surface.

Once the markers dry, glue three craft sticks into a triangle shape.

Layer the top craft stick down some from the edges of the other two sticks, so that your reindeer has antlers! You can’t have a reindeer without antlers!

Glue on googly eyes to the sides of the reindeer and a pom pom nose to the point of the triangle.

You can use red for Roudoph, or black for any other reindeer.

Once the glue dries, twist a pipe cleaner around the center of the top craft stick to make an ornament hanger.

Hang your craft stick reindeer ornament from any Christmas branch!
