This First Grade Sight Words Printable pack contains 100 pages of fun and learning.
Included in this pack are both color and black and white copies of a number of pages. The colourful pages are bright and cheery, though to save on printing and copying costs, a black and white version has been added. Children can add color to these if they desire.
First, in the pack is a first grade sight words list that contains all the words the 1st grade sight words. I recommend laminating this list and using a dry-erase marker to tick off the sight words as your child learns them. You could also print it out and have your child place a gold star sticker next to each word as they learn them.
Next, is a Read, Build and Write word page that works really well with the Dolch sight words flash cards. I like to laminate all the flashcards for duability as well as this page. Children can use a dry-erase maker to practice writing the word on this page. If you print out two copies of the flashcards, the cards can be used in memory and matching games.
Following the flashcards is the ‘Sight Word of the Day’ pages. There are two pages for each word. Practice learning the sight word by:
- Coloring the sight word
- Finding the sight word word
- Tracing the word
- Highlighting the word
- Cut and paste the word
- Write the word
- Fill in the Missing Letter
- Find the word in a sentence
- Use the word in a sentence
- Box the word
- Clap the word
You can turn these worksheets into a book to give your child or students.
