These Dolch Primer Sight Words Worksheets focus on the Primer, or second lot of sight words for elementary school. The primer list includes kindergarten sight words. A total of 53 sight words are learnt and practiced throughout this 120+ page printable pack.
Kindergarten Sight Words
Don’t forget to check out all of our Dolch Sight Words worksheets.
The primer sight words are the next lot of kindergarten sight words learnt after the primer ones. These are a little harder for children to learn and memorise, but with the fun activities in this printable pack, your child will be able to memorise them quickly and easily.

For the alphabet letter box – you can find how to make an alphabet letter box here. We love using our All About Spelling Letter Magnets for this and absolutely LOVE the All About Spelling program. You can purchase the Letter Magnets separately or with the package.
Or you could use:
- Magnetic Letters
- Wooden Letters
- Learning Resources Lacing Letters Uppercase and Lowercase (Love these for so many different uses!)

Turn these worksheets into a book to give your child or students. I have included a set of colored copies as well as a set of black and white worksheets for those who would like to save on ink.
Dolch Primer Sight Words
First, in the pack is a kindergarten sight words list that contains all the words that are being learnt in this pack. I recommend laminating this list and using a dry-erase marker to tick off the sight words as your child learns them.
This is then followed by a Read, Build and Write the word page that goes great with the flashcards. There is a flashcard for each word that I recommend laminating for durability. I also printed out two copies of these pages, so that these cards could be used in memory and matching games.
Following the kindergarten sight word flashcards is the ‘Sight Word of the Day’ pages. There are two pages for each word. Practice learning the sight word by:
- Coloring the word
- Finding the word
- Tracing the word
- Highlighting the word
- Cut and paste the word
- Write the word
- Fill in the Missing Letter
- Find the word in a sentence
- Use the word in a sentence
- Box the word
- Clap the word
