Our Kiwi Co Kids monthly box this month was extra fun! My kids got to become a secret agent! I remember being young and watching secret agent movies like Harriet the Spy and wanting to be one. Wanting to have all the secret gear, the tools, the special language, and of course the outfit. Okay, let’s be real that was probably yesterday. Being a secret agent is so cool! Thankfully for me, my daughter feels the same way. We have had many days where we have pretended that we are solving crimes, but with this Secret Agent kit from Kiwi Crate.
Kids Subscription Box
One of my favorite things about Kiwi Crate is that the creations that are made from the box are high quality and get used over and over again. You can find all of our kiwi crate reviews here. The creations are ones that can be used over and over. And even better than other toys, they are ones that we made together and we both love that! You can also find our favorite monthly subscription boxes for kids here.
When you open your Kiwi Crate box, all of the supplies you need to create are included. Everything down to glue dots. The only thing we have had to provide on our own is scissors. The only prep is to separate the supplies by activity, which is also spelled out in the instruction book. Speaking of the instruction book there are step by step instructions and pictures to assist. Older kids may be able to do these activities on their own but we prefer to do them together.

January Kiwi Crate Activity #1: Creating The Briefcase
Secret Agents have to have something, like a briefcase, to keep all of their tools and supplies in. This briefcase came as a piece of cardboard (with congregated folds). The supplies to put it together included rubber band, a button and reinforcements to keep it all together. The coolest thing is that it actually will close and ‘lock’ so the supplies don’t fall out.
Kiwi Crate Activity #2: Secret Light Pen
This activity is super cool. It comes with a pen that seems, from apperance, to be just like a normal felt tip pen. To our surprise the ink dries clear. What is the point of that you might ask? Well, if you have the secret light (on the pen cap) you can decode the message by shining it on the words written by the invisible pen.
The ink that is in the pen, although clear, is basically glow in the dark. When the UV light on the pen cap shines on the ink, it magically appears.
We had so much fun writing secret messages back and forth. Until we started writing on top of each others messages, that was pretty funny.
Kiwi Crate Activity #3: Super Agent Glasses
This activity was stinkin’ cool! Kiwi Co really understands children’s needs and what makes them excited! The special paper provided had a cluster of red lines scribbled onto the paper. Using the provided markers, we wrote messages on it. Again, the messages were hidden. We could technically see the words slightly, but no where near a regular pen. When we put the special spy glasses on, though, the message was crystal clear. It was difficult to photograph to get it exactly as clear as we could see it, but it did work in real life. This was very cool. It was fun to show my daughter how our eyes can see differently when the color, from the glasses, is added.
We have thoroughly enjoyed all of the kids subscription boxes we have received, and I am not just saying that. My daughter is excited, entertained and learns something new every time. I enjoy having a substantial activity, or three, for my daughter that doesn’t require a ton of prep for me. It is a WIN WIN! Kiwi Co as always, gets 5 stars from us!
