Hasbro sent us the following Play Doh sets for free. All words, thoughts and opinions are my own.
One of our favorite activities at home is playing with Play Doh. I love that it strengthens those fine motor skills and encourages my children to be more creative. We do a lot of play dough activities at home and are always excited to find fun play doh sets. Hasbro has released some new Play Doh Sets. The first is the Cranky the Octopus Set and the other is the Wavy The Whale Playset.
This set goes perfectly with our ocean themed month. We are using the ocean sensory bin and our underwater theme ocean animals worksheets and activities pack.
After playing with our Play Doh Dentist Drill And Fill playset we were eager to try more fun Play Doh playsets for kids. We have a play doh drawer filled with all of our play doh sets so that the children can get them out to play whenever they want.
One of their favorite sets is the Play Doh Crazy Cuts one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many giggles as I did with that one. You can watch them playing with it here.
My 4 year old constantly uses our Ladybug Playdoh Math Counting Mats and our Apple Counting Play Dough Mats. When Hasbro sent us this package of new play doh sets my children could not wait to get started!

Play-Doh Cranky The Octopus Playset
Cranky the Octopus Play doh set is filled with many fun activities to keep children of all ages entertained. You can find it here.
The Play Doh playset includes the Octopus playset, lobster scissors, treasure chest, goldfish book-mold, clam book-mold, a textured roller, dolphin rolling cutter and 5 standard cans of Play Doh.
This adorable set is themed around the sweetest looking Octopus who is ready for an adventure. But before the octopus can join in on these fun underwater adventures, he needs legs first!
Your child has to fill up the compound and then turn the crank. You then see eight wiggly legs begin to grow. (This also reinforces how many legs an octopus has.)
There are many molds included in this set so that your child can play endlessly and create their own underwater adventure.
You can create orange octopus legs or multi color legs. It’s all up to your child’s creative imagination.
I thought the fish mold was really cute and joined in on the fun.
My 9 year old absolutely loved the treasure chest. She enjoyed creating her own version of treasure.
This fun filled set is one your children will not get tired of because there is always something different to try. My 4 year old enjoyed it as much as my 9 and 11 year old. My children and I highly recommend this set!
Play-Doh Wavy the Whale Playset
Wavy the whale is ready for some splash worthy fun! You can get the set here.
The set includes a wavy the whale play set with a rail, 2 cutters, Play Doh knife and 3 standard cans of Play Doh.
Fill up the hole underneath the wale with some play doh and then press down on the tail.
My 4 year old found pushing down on the tail a little challenging when sitting down so she stood on her chair and pushed it down. It worked with no help from Mama!
She enjoyed creating different colors of water. This rainbow one above is so beautiful.
There are also many molds and cutters to enhance the fun. The tiny fish and crab are really adorable.
She also enjoyed smooshing the play dough down with her hands and using the Play Doh cutters.
You can get the Wavy the Whale Play Doh set here.
