The start of the school year after a long summer break is something many of us tend to dread (I’ll admit, me too!). But it doesn’t have to be that way. Our Activity Pack is your secret weapon to feeling prepared and confident as the new school year begins. Whether you’re a parent or a teacher, this resource helps take the stress out of lesson planning during those hectic first few weeks.

It’s also a great way to gently ease kids out of the summer slide and get them back into learning mode with fun, purposeful activities.

Back To School Supplies Vocabulary Words – Learn the vocabulary words and then complete the activity pages and worksheets.

2. Alphabet Hunt – Identify the letter on the chalkboard. Help the students find the matching letter backpacks and then trace the letter.

3. Beginning Sound Matching – Identify the letter in the lunchbox. Then place a Bingo chip on the matching lunchbox items that include a picture that matches the beginning sound.

4. School Supplies Alphabet Letter Sound Trace – Trace the letters or use mini erasers to create the letters.

5. School Supplies 3 Part Cards – Match the word and picture to the whole card.

6. Back To School Sight Words Sensory Bin – Read the sight word on the card then trace it on the recording sheet

7. Glue Bottle Number Order – Fill in the missing number.

8. Pencil Measurement Cards – Use objects to measure the pencils. There are also worksheets that can be shaded in to measure the pencils.

9. Count and Trace Number Dot To Dot Worksheets – Count and connect the numbers

10. School Bus Count, Write and Link – Count the students in the bus. Write the number in the box and then use math links to represent the number on the card.

11. Backpack Number Sense Activity – Place the backpacks that match the number on the backpack holder.

12. School Supplies Patterns – Complete the patterns.

13. School Supplies Dough Mats – Use dough to create the school supplies.

14. Color vocabulary word chart and puzzles – Match the crayon puzzles then color the crayon on the recording sheet.

15. Pom Pom Color Matching – Use tongs to pick up pom poms and place them on the cards to match the colors.

16. School Bus Craft – Create a bus craft by cutting out the pieces and gluing them together.

17. Opposites – Match the opposites.

18. Back To School Supplies Color By Number Worksheets – Use the numbers to color the picture.

19. Haircut Cutting Pages – Help the students get a haircut for the first day of school. Cut on the dashed lines.

20. Crayon Box Count And Clip Cards and Activities – Count and clip the numbers. We also included a variety of activity pages that incorporate number sense concepts.

21. Crayon Box Name Craft – Create a crayon box with your name by following the directions. The membership club includes an editable version of this craft for our printable club members.

22. Back To School Supplies Pencil Sharpener Shape Tracing – Identify the shapes on the vocabulary word page. You can also cut out the shapes and place them in a sensory bin or print out two copies to play a shape matching game. Trace the shapes on the shape tracing pages.

Worksheets

There are 47 WORKSHEETS to choose from. These target similar concepts to the activities but are more vast and are a great option when repetition and revision are required (HINT: This is always ideal for preschool and kindergarten).
