Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a very special princess makeover for children between the ages of 3 to 12. It is a princess makeover experience. For boys, they also have a knight/prince charming experience. Your child will be assigned a fairy godmother who will converse with them, make them feel extra special and give them their makeover.
You can get more details here on the Magic Kingdom reservation for the makeover page.
How do you make reservations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance and it is a VERY popular experience so book this as soon as you can. To make a reservation call (407) WDW – STYLE, also known as (407) 939-7895. If all reservations are full by the time you get around to calling do not stress out too much! Just scroll down to my helpful tips below to see how you can get a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation when it is sold out.
Do you have to tip at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
You do not have to tip. It is completely optional and honestly, I’m sure many don’t even realize that you can give a tip. According to the Disney Parks Mom Panel, it is one of the few places that cast members can accept a tip.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Prices
As of the day I am writing this blog post, the price for:
- The Crown Package is $64.95 plus tax
- The Courtyard Package is $109.95 plus tax
- The Castle Package is $199.95 plus tax
Disney Springs vs Magic Kingdom Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Locations
There are 2 locations. I have not gone to the Disney Springs one but have heard that the boutique is larger and has a special carriage that makes for a good photo opportunity after your princess makeover.
For me, Disney Springs was a little far out from where we were staying so we preferred the location of Magic Kingdom. It meant that we could go on rides up until our appointment time. Then my husband and son could go on rides while I went with the girls for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment. After the appointment my girls could walk around the Magic Kingdom and all cast members would say, “Hi princess.” They felt like royalty. Plus, they were INSIDE the castle to get their make overs.. I made sure to remind them of this many times (otherwise they may not have even noticed). You can see what the Disney Springs location looks like in this video.
The benefit to the Disney Springs location is that it would be less noisy, less busy, larger and I think the princess reveal is done in a cuter way than it is in the Magic Kingdom.
How do you spell Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
It seems that there are multiple spellings online. Sometimes Bippity Boppity Boutique and Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique. The official spelling as per Disney’s website is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
The Crown Package
We chose to do the crown package this time since we previously tried the castle package. I also have two girls to do makeovers for this time and multiple princess dresses at home.
Bippity Boppity Boutique
My girls adored getting their make up, hair and nails done.
What you need to bring to your appointment
- A brush/comb
- Clean fingernails (This is not a must. my kids went in with nail polish and they were fine.)
- Kids should be free from any scalp conditions for 30 days.
These are some special items my girls came home with. A little make up wipe, shampoo, body gems, nail polish, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique bag, a comb and some make up.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Tips
Tip 1: If you cannot get a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique do not think that you have no chance! If someone doesn’t cancel their reservation 24 hours before their scheduled appointment, they would be charged a no show or late cancellation fee. People hate to waste money so that means cancellations do happen! Plans change for a lot of people. A few reservations will open up on the days leading up to your trip. Just make sure to keep calling (407) 939-7895 and checking on reservations.
Tip 2: Make your reservations for an early time in the morning. This means that your princess can walk around the whole day dressed as a princess.
Tip 3: If you already have beautiful princess dresses at home and want to save some money… bring your own dress and shoes. Amazon has a lot of adorable and unique princess dresses so check it out. You can also buy dresses at your local Disney Store. Then you can choose a cheaper package. I have tried both the castle package and then package. Make sure to let them know that you brought a dress and would like to change before the Disney princess makeover. They will then call you in a little before your appointment to give you time to change.
Tip 4: If you have the memory maker package, encourage the photographer to take as many pictures as possible.
Tip 5: After your princess makeover, head on over to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique castle store across from the Boutique. There is a photographer there that takes pictures of your princess.
Tip 6: Bring extra clothes… I always bring a change of a comfortable pants and top just in case my daughter finds her dress scratchy or uncomfortable later on in the day. I think when a child knows that she has a change of clothes, psychologically she feels better.
Tip 7: Try to make a reservation for Cinderella’s Royal Table for sometime after your princess makeover. Your princess will love to be dressed up as a princess when she meets the other princesses. Do not book this reservation at a time that will be too close to your princess makeover. Allow for at least 2 hours after your scheduled princess make over just in case you have to wait for your appointment.
Tip 8: Book fast passes for princess meet and greets. You will love the pictures that you get after this and you want to get the most bang for your buck.. make use out of that make over!
Tip 9: Look at the hairstyle choices with your child here before going to the boutique that day. Sometimes, it is hard to make a choice during your busy day at the parks. My 8 year old chose the Fairytale princess but half up half down, I’m not sure if it was a mix of the Disney Diva and Fairytale princess. Whereas my 4 year old chose the Fairytale Princess. We have tried the Pop Diva hair style before, but my daughter found it very tight and uncomfortable. You can read more about her experience with the Pop Diva hair style here.
Tip 10: Know which package you want to go for. Compare them. I have tried the Castle package previously, which includes a costume and wand. This time we chose to try the Crown Package.
Tip 11: Watch my Disney World Playlist to see more Disney experiences and find Disney World Tips!
Tip 12: One of the BEST moments, is when your child looks into the mirror for the first time. You get some beautiful smiles, as you will see in my video above. Have a camera ready.

The Review
Is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique worth it? There is a lot of value in the Crown package and I am really happy I went with this one. I also think that the hairstyle the girls chose was the best one for each of them. It didn’t pull on their hair too tight and looked amazing. I do, however, wish that they had used a smaller hair bun for my younger daughter (the 4 year old).
I did voice my concerns to her particular godmother before she set her hair. She mentioned to me that her hair wouldn’t fit in the smaller one and that the larger one was the only way to go. I asked her, for future reference, if we had done a half up half down style, would it have fit? She said probably yes. However, it didn’t take away from my daughter loving it and feeling completely special. Her hair still looked beautiful!
How much fun your little girl has will be up to your fairy godmother. My 8 year old had the most AMAZING fairy god mother. She was talking about how my daughter has such beautiful hair and wanted to know if she sings to her hair every single day because it is so pretty. She also mentioned that my daughter looks beautiful after her makeover but said that she looks just as beautiful after the makeover as she looked before. I wish you could hear all the wonderful things her fairy godmother was saying to her in the video, but the crowd was loud. This was a very special and memorable experience for my little girl and I would 110% percent do this again with the girls! We LOVE Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
You can try doing the hairstyle at home after watching the video. I have included some product recommendations below:

Hi, your post was very helpful. We are going to Disney and BBB for the first time this December. I called to make an appointment on the day my youngest celebrates her 4th birthday but the only time available was 5:10pm. I am planning to call often to see if there are any cancellations but let’s see. What time did your daughters have their makeovers? They looked beautiful!

Hi Binish! Thank you for the kind words about my daughters. I initially got an appointment later in the day and I just grabbed it. I actually wanted an earlier appointment.. something around the morning so that they could look like princesses the whole day.. rather than bed time being near.
My suggestion is to take the 5.10 appointment and then keep trying. Most likely towards the last 7 days before your appointment.. that’s when the appointments will open up. (No guarantees though.) I would start calling from 2 weeks in advance and take the earliest appointment. If you plan on doing the princess royal table lunch I’d suggest you do the princess makeover 2 hours before that to allow for extra time. It’s so special to visit the princesses while your princess is all dressed up.
