Check out this Disney Cruise Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Under The Sea Package blog post to see one of our favorite Disney Cruise experiences for kids! A mermaid makeover is so much fun!
Disney Cruise Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
When I boarded the Disney Dream Review Disney Cruise Ship, I didn’t have a reservation for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I figured, we did it a few times in Magic Kingdom ( see Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Review + Helpful Tips) and didn’t think it would be necessary, I was wrong!
You can watch a video of the whole process below:

When I board a ship, I like to explore it. During my Disney Dream Cruise Tour I came across the Disney Cruise Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It was really pretty and wonderfully quiet!
I had a look at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique packages and price list and saw that there is a DCL exclusive package called the Under The Sea Package. What?! MERMAIDS! I loved mermaids and with Ariel having been my favorite little princess when I was growing up I thought it was perfectly fitting, frankly, a must for ME a must for my children to be transformed into mermaid princesses!
Let’s be real, my stomach wouldn’t look as adorable in these outfits anyway… right? haha.
I asked about their availability and the only day they had available was the day we docked in Castaway Cay. I wasn’t sure about that, because that meant their hair and make up would wash off pretty quickly (and that was true) but since it was the only offering, I went with it.

Disney Cruise Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Review
We came back to the boutique on the morning of our reservation and my children chose the blue mermaid dresses. It comes with a swimming top, swimming bottom and a mermaid tail. They also give you a gift bag, which you will see at the bottom of the post.
Before we get started, I want to share one of my favorite things about the Disney Cruise Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It was A LOT quieter than the one in Magic Kingdom. I don’t know if it’s just the day that I chose (we chose to do it on the day we docked at Castaway Cay) or if it just is that amazing. The peace and quiet made it all so much more magical and unique.
Take notice that, from the start of the makeover, they don’t let the girls turn around to look in the mirror. The fairy godmothers want the whole transformation to be a full surprise!
They began first with painting my girls nails. I love the color, it’s so Ariel, isn’t it?
Next, they did their hair. It’s a cute little twirl of the front of their hair.
Next they put on some colored sunblock, this looks so amazing. It’s such a fun excitement of color. (They give you the bottles in the gift bag.)
I just can’t even handle the picture above… the way my 4 year old is all ready to be filled with glitter and to have the magic transform her. How tiny her hands are and how sweet her soul is.
They sprinkle the child’s hair with glitter, tie a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sash on them and then add on some accessories. The flower and necklace are color changing necklaces. They change in the sun.
The moment that will take your breath away, the one where you need to have your camera out to capture that look, the one where they see themselves for the first time.
That moment where they see their reflection and they have this gorgeous look of excitement may just make your eyes tear up a bit.
Good job Mama, your kids had fun and your heart melted ten times in the last 45 minutes… cuddle those princesses and let them proudly walk around as Disney’s newest mermaid princesses.
This is what was in the bag. The nail polish and the 4 sunblocks colors.
