How to use this sensory play for toddlers
Once you add in the water and all the other fun supplies, it’s up to them to just dig in and start having fun. You can even add in some textured items like water beads as well.
Since this sensory play activity is Halloween themed, try and focus on those items but really anything that you want to add is going to be fine.
Your toddler can use the pinchers to grab items or even their hands, too. And if you’re worried about the ground being wet, just put down a towel to soak it up! (I barely put water in it the first time I did this activity just to be on the safe side!)
The great part about this sensory play for toddlers is that there really isn’t any directions needed. They’re going to just dive in and have fun and you’ll be there to watch!
We even added in a few fun tools from our sandbox for extra fun!
If you wanted to add in learning to this activity, you could start doing simple math with them as well by removing one of the eyeballs and having them count, etc. This is a simple way to have them combine learning and fun!
