Our favorite kids subscription box is here with another exciting box! The Kiwi Co Kiwi Crate review of the month includes activities to learn about ultraviolet light. The Kiwi Crate box is one of the best monthly subscription boxes for kids. Glow in the dark is so much fun, isn’t it? Clothing, decor, party rooms, and more can be decorated with glow in the dark materials. That’s because it is fascinating! Don’t forget to check out our Kiwi Crate reviews and while you are at it, the 2018 Kiwi Crate Review box is a fun one too.
Kids Subscription Box
One of my favorite things about this kids subscription box, Kiwi Box, is that it is not just a ‘one time use’ activity. The supplies in the box ensure that kids can build their own toys and activities that will entertain over and over. We still have many of the activities from past Kiwi Crates that we bring out and explore, you can see those past reviews here.
I also love that once you open your Kiwi Crate, all of the supplies are included. The only thing we have had to use from our own supplies was the occasional use of scissors. Everything down to tape, glue, strings, and more are included in the Kiwi Crates. The only preparation for me was to open the box and separate the activities. We have had some boxes with three activities and others with one bigger activity and one regular size. Regardless the activities in each Kiwi Crate has entertained my daughter for at least a few hours initially and then over and over again later.
Ultraviolet Light Kiwi Crate Activity #1: Glow Viewer
The first activity in the kids subscription box is the
The Glow Viewer activity was super cool. There were a handful of steps that made this activity extra bright.
The purpose of this activity is to draw or color objects or designs on the special glowing scene paper. This is done with a highlighter, again included. There is no restriction on what can be drawn. Your child could draw a garden scene, their favorite characters, write their name and decorate with hearts, or whatever your child’s heart desires.
After the drawing is complete, the child can assemble the scenes, secure into place and build the viewer box. When the project is complete it becomes a Glow Viewer. The scene that was created spins around and when the glowing light shines on the artwork, it glows. It is purely magical!
Ultraviolet Light Kiwi Crate Activity #2: UV Bracelet
The next activity in the kids subscription box is right up my daughter’s alley. She loves all types of accessories from jewelry to bows and more. This activity is beyond simple. If you have made beaded bracelets before, the making process is not much difference. The different colors allow kids to be creative and make a pattern or design of their choice. The exciting part of this is that when you use the included UV light, the beads glow. HOW FUN! When my daughter goes somewhere with black lights, like our local glow in the dark miniature golfing center she can wear her bracelet and have even more fun.
There is even a part of the packet that explains what UV light is and how it works. Science & Creativity at it’s best! We have thoroughly enjoyed all of the kids subscription boxes we have received, and I am not just saying that. My daughter is excited, entertained and learns something new every time. I enjoy having a substantial activity, or three, for my daughter that doesn’t require a ton of prep for me. It is a WIN WIN! Kiwi Co as always, gets 5 stars from us!
