The Importance of Preschool Math
Math is often seen as daunting and many kids hate it because of how it is introduced to them. The importance of early childhood mathematics is more than we think so it’s important we get it right! Ensuring kids’ understanding and execution of math problems and other number activities for preschoolers also allows them to improve critical thinking, problem-solving, patterns, and number recognition skills. This can also help their memory and overall cognitive skills.
Using Hands-On Activities
Hands-on learning or kinesthetic learning is a very good tool in helping kids understand concepts that are not often as easy as 1,2,3. The number activities in this pack incorporate learning methods that are hands-on and engaging. We recommend different learning aids to add a sensory or tactile aspect for younger learners.
The benefit of multi-sensory learning is that it helps kids to love what they are learning. They can connect the concept with the hands-on experience, target fine motor skills, and are often more eager to engage in future learning experiences because of this.
