Are you excited about an upcoming air travel with kids? Then enhance this excitement by using this adorable airport scavenger hunt for kids. The whole airport and airplane travel experience can be really boring for children. This hunt keeps their minds actively engaged and aware of their surroundings.
Airport scavenger hunt
If your kids are anything like mine, they will be super excited about their travel experience…. right up until it actually begins and they realize how boring of a process it can be too. There are many lines to wait in and their patience will definitely be tested many times. As you are aware from my baby, toddler and preschooler travel essentials and travel tips post, I do a lot of international travel with my kids. I am also always trying new activities to keep the kids happy and busy while flying or atleast to find a way to keep their seatbelts buckled when the seatbelt sign is on!)
Turn the experience into a game by having them look for different things around the airport. While they do this they will also be learning some important airport vocabulary that will be useful when re-telling their travel experience to their friends and relatives after the family vacation.

This activity requires minimal materials. All you need is a pencil and the free printable airport scavenger hunt! The printable can be found at the bottom of this post.
If you have extra space in your carry on then take a clipboard to make it even easier for them to tick each item off. For younger kids I prefer to use this travel activity tray. I put this in their stroller and it allows me to keep snacks nearby and creates a good surface for them to do activities while they are in the airport and around the cities.
