These adorable Easter Count and Clip Cards are perfect for your toddler or preschooler who is learning about numbers, number recognition, and counting. Using clothespins will also help them work on their fine motor skills and pincer grip.

These Easter Egg clip cards are the perfect addition to your Easter Activities. In this post, we will be sharing with you 2 sets of clip cards. The first one includes some recording sheets that gives you a taste of what is included in some of our member activity packs. You can grab them as a freebie.
The easter eggs are placed in a ten-frame. The Easter count and clip cards include numbers 1-10.
Then there are some recording sheets that students can complete that work for a variety of ages.
The included recording sheets includes:
- a match the number to the ten frame page
- A cut and paste before and after page where students can count the eggs, then cut and paste in the number that goes before this number and the number after it.
- A simple count and color page that is perfect for younger students.
Below, you will see the Easter clip card activity that is included in our Easter Activities Pack.
Easter Clip Cards
My three-year-old daughter loves working with clip cards. I am always impressed each time we do an activity to see how much she knows the next time we do something similar. We first started with color matching clip cards, then moved on to matching the same shapes, and then we started with numbers. Working with clip cards is a great way to reinforce numbers, and counting and can even work on visual perception. In this activity, your child or student will count the Easter-themed images.
Setting up the Easter activity
The picture above is exactly how I displayed it for my daughter. I normally include the correct number of clothespins (1 per card). We begin the activity by counting how many clothespins there are. She takes the clothespins out and says the numbers out loud while moving the clothespin to her right side. We then discuss colors. I would ask her to sort them out by colors. I also ask my daughter which color each clothespin is.
Each time we do this she gets a new color right each time.
She then went to work placing the clothespin on the correct number. She counted 1 Easter bunny, 2 baby chicks, and 3 Easter Eggs.
