If you want to use the black and white copy then you can extend the activity by having your children color it in.
We love scavenger hunts in my house and I think one of the great reasons why is that they can be used by a wide variety of ages. They are also great for practicing teamwork where an older child and a younger child can search for the hunt items together.

How to Prepare the Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Preparing the scavenger hunt is super easy. You just need to print the page. This resource comes in both color and black and white and is one page each.
For the classroom, one option is to laminate and use dry-erase markers. Then you have it prepped for future years.
Children can use any writing utensil that they would like.
Once the objects are found, they can be checked off.
How does a scavenger hunt work?
Once the clues are given and the list is shown, it’s time for the kids to go around and find the items. It’s really as easy as that.
You can have the kids bring the items to you or take a picture and show you that they found them.
If you want to set a time limit, that’s totally up to you. You can use your cell phone to keep track of the time or even use music as a prompt to get them to move faster.
Once they hear that ding or song on the phone, it’s time for them to pick up the pace to look for their next clue! This is so much fun for the holiday spirit!
These basic tips can be used for any winter scavenger hunt or even virtual scavenger hunts as well. That way, if there is a winner, you can have a starting and end point for it to happen.
