St Patrick’s Day Activities
These St. Patrick’s Day activities incorporate educational aspects that are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners into the Saint Patrick’s Day theme.

Alphabet Activities
1. Pot Of Gold Alphabet Matching
Match the lowercase letter coins to the matching uppercase letter pot of gold.
2. Collect The Gold Alphabet Mats
Place a gold coin on the letters you see in the pot of gold on each mat.
3. Leprechaun Feelings
Draw a card, identify the feeling and then draw it on the Leprechaun’s face.
4. Dancing Leprechaun
Color your Leprechaun, cut it out, then glue it together. Use fasteners on the arms and legs to make the Leprechaun dance.
5. Rainbow number matching
Use linking chains to match the number fingers on the four-leaf clover and tally mark coins to the end of the rainbow numbers.
6. Counting Clip Cards
Count the shamrocks and then clip the correct number.
7. Shapes Play Dough Mats
Create the shape using play dough. For every shape they make let them add a chocolate coin to their pot. At the end have them count how many chocolate coins they collected.
8. Color Matching Mats
Match the St. Patrick’s Day themed colored items to the correct mat.
9. Counting Cube Picture Mats
Create the picture using the counting cub
10. Clover Truck Count
Count the clovers on the truck, then place a magnetic number on the square. You could also write the number in the square instead.
11. Coin Color Patterns
Create a color pattern using colored objects you have at home. We used colored cubes.
12. St. Patrick’s Day Play Dough Mats
Create the pictures using play dough.
13. St. Patrick’s Day Ten Frame
Place the ten frame cards in a sensory bin and then trace the number after you find them.

14. Collect The Gold Alphabet Mats
Place a gold coin on the letters you see in the pot of gold on each mat.
15. Sight Word Gold
Create the sight word using the gold coins. Then find it on the recording sheet and color it in.
You could also throw your sight words into a sensory bin like we did in the Sight Word Practice Sensory Table Bin (that post includes the free sight word cards you see in the picture above. We just mixed some plain rice with green food coloring and vinegar to make green rice.
