You can find all of our Koala Crate Reviews on this page. Each monthly subscription box will be unboxed in a blog post. I will show you what is included in the box, how the activities went for us and our thoughts on the box. Please note that this post is not sponsored by Koala Crate. I have gone ahead and purchased my own subscriptions of both the Koala Crate and Kiwi Crate boxes for my kids to use because we love them so much. You can find all of our Kiwi Crate Reviews here. My 3 year old is a craft loving kid. I started using our Koala Crate boxes when she was 2 years old and she was definitely able to use some of the boxes (with a lot of parent help.)  My 7 year old also loves our Koala Crate and Kiwi Crate boxes and both boxes have activities that are suitable towards her age.

Want to get a Kiwi Crate Subscription Box?

Go to Kiwi Crates website and have a look at all the different types of boxes that they have. Choose one that is age appropriate for your child.

Kiwi Crate has four different boxes geared towards kids of different ages. Please note that this is only an estimate of the minimum age a child has to be in order to efficiently play with the activities:

Koala Crate – is a play and learn box. It is geared towards 3-4 year olds. (My 2 year old loves it but my 7 year old does too!)
Kiwi Crate – is a science, art and more box. It is geared towards 5-8 year olds. (We have done this box and ABSOLUTELY loved it! I will update this post with the review link.)
Doodle Crate– is an art and design techniques box. It is geared towards 9-16 year olds.
Tinker Crate – is an engineering and science box. It is geared towards 9-16 year olds.

One day you’ll carry them in your arms and then One day you’ll carry them in your arms and then one day, they will be grown. You will wish that you could once again hold their little body as tenderly as you once did when their little body would mould so perfectly into your own.

The years are SO short.

I love you… a bushel and a peck. Babywearing = I love you… a bushel and a peck.

Babywearing = time spent bonding to the sound of a heartbeat, a loving constant warm hug with little hands gently rubbing mommy’s arm, and positioned in such a way that mommy has a little forehead inches away from ever ready kisses.

Are you a babywearing mama too?

Some might think I started all over again, diapers Some might think I started all over again, diapers, strollers, diaper bags, and all that.
.
But really, I got to start again with a new set of eyes to be able to see the world anew!

Motherhood gives you the ability to pause and live life’s special moments all over again through the curious eyes of your child.
Notes from an American South AfricanšŸ“ šŸ’ŖšŸ» Notes from an American South AfricanšŸ“
šŸ’ŖšŸ»Change can be beautiful, even if it feels challenging. ✨

Here we are, at the end of our trip to South Africa (our second home) + these trips here always bring about a lot of reflection.
Especially with little Alayna in tow. It feels like I’ve come full circle once again with a little one back to where I began my story as a mom.

Having lived in both South Africa and USA (lived in USA 18 years, SA for 10 years, back in America currently for 7 years, who knows where we will be next year - that’s part of the excitement),

The one thing I’ve learned in life is that CHANGE is inevitable.
Change is beautiful, even if the colors seem confusing at the beginning.
Sails need to be constantly adjusted.
Your destination is ever changing. Why be stuck in one place?
Growth can be found in change.
So instead of fighting change, embrace it.

I believe I grew a lot as a woman through the changes + am actually so appreciative of it.

Sure, at the beginning of change you are in a new experience - one you may feel unequipped for, scared of, and even at times, a feeling of being a fish out of water can overwhelm you.

It’s hard to understand it at that time, but looking back I wish I could tell myself to:

Appreciate the newness + lack of skill you may have right now when there is change around you.
You will eventually rock it!
Your small pond felt safe but you’ll find an ocean filled with wonder and delight.
You will grow!
You will learn your strengths (and sure, weaknesses too) but push on!
You will find your voice!
This change will begin to feel like your norm, and it won’t be new for long.
You will realize your dreams + establish your goals so that who you are at the beginning of that change is but a drop of who you are about to become!

Tomorrow, I don’t know where the wind will take + that’s okay. I’m adaptable + ready for new adventures. Are you?

I hope you’ve enjoyed my stories here in SA

Do you have any questions about living in SA?USA?

P.S. We’ve officially decided that we live in both places, America and South Africa . Part of the year here and part of the year there.šŸ˜‚ I’m a global citizen.
