This Shape Playdough Mats printable pack contains 13 pages of printable mats.
In this printable pack, children will be introduced to twelve different 2D shapes. I recommend printing this printable pack out on white cardstock and then laminating before use.
In this printable pack, there are four different sets of shape playdough mats. There are two coloured and two black and white sets. One set includes coloured shapes with a straight outline, the next set consists of the same shape, but with a dotted line around the shape.
One way our boys used these mats was to create the complete shape for the straight-lined shape mats. For the dotted shape mats, our boys made a long snake of playdough and placed it on the outline of the dotted shape. They also enjoyed filling these shapes in with a different colored playdough.
If you have laminated the playdough mats, they can be wiped clean after playdough use and then, with a dry erase marker, kids can practice drawing the shapes with the same mats.
You can find all my printable packs here, including the 2d Shapes Worksheets and activities and tracing shapes worksheets.
