ABCDEFG…Here are the Letter H Activities for preschool, pre-k and kindergarten that form the next part of the Letter of the Week series! Packed with over 30 activities that enhance letter recognition, letter formation, beginning sounds and more in a series of activities, centers and worksheets.
I have included TWO letter h activity packs that are excellent resources for home or classroom use. There is a FREE version and a very detailed paid version. You can browse the packs and see what meets your learning and teaching requirements. The packs are for younger children ages 3-6.

Letter H Preschool Pack
This pack is all about the eighth letter of the alphabet, the letter H. The printable activities work on so many skills like literacy, math, phonics, fine motor and art. Many activities include the uppercase and lowercase letter H, and words that begin with the letter H.
Letter H Activities Pack
This pack has a mix of upper and lower case letter h activities. My older and younger daughter both enjoyed these activities.
There are also letter h posters, flashcards, tracing pages, mazes and more. The play dough mats are fantastic for working on fine motor skills, and it is a hands-on way to introduce letter formation.
There are also clip cards and letter sorting activities included to keep kids engaged in learning.
Not forgetting a few math activities like count and clip cards and graphing pages to reinforce essential preschool math skills.
Now it’s time to check out the packs…
First, here are the details about the paid version that has every activity you’ll ever need to make learning the alphabet easier and more interesting.
Letter H Vocabulary
1. Letter H Words Chart – Words that begin with the letter H that include a variety of items, things and animals.

5. Letter H Formation Cards – Follow the simple steps to form each letter. Trace with a dry-erase marker or finger.
7. Letter H Playdough Mats – Each activity mat includes a template for making the letter or object with playdough and letters to trace with a dry-erase marker. Use different colors or types of play dough to make it interesting.

14. Letter H Sorting Activity – Sort the uppercase and lowercase letters into the correct house or jar on the activity mats. Sorting activities teach kids the basics of problem solving. Grouping or sorting is an important developmental milestone.
16. Letter H Dot/Sticker Pages – Use a dot marker or colored circle stickers to fill in the heart or hammer.
11. Find the Letter H Pages – Students cover the letter H as they find it or circle with a dry-erase marker on the activity mats.
13. Letter H Color Activity – Match the uppercase and lowercase letters according to the color. Encourage sensory play by throwing the letter cards into a sensory bin.
15. Highlight and Color the Letter H – Either color, highlight, trace, or cover the letter a on each activity card. These can be done in 2 ways. Either instruct the kids or let them pick. I suggest switching it up on different days.
17. Letter H Sticker Page – Write down the uppercase and lowercase h’s on dot stickers. Then stick them on the horse.

18. Letter H Puzzles – Including uppercase and lowercase letters and letter-to-picture puzzles. The different styles of puzzles keep the excitement fresh. This is a good group activity.
