Letter C Preschool Pack

These learning packs focus on the third letter of the alphabet, the letter C. All the printable activities target early literacy and phonics skills development and look at both the uppercase and lowercase letter C, as well as words that begin with the letter C.

My favorite thing about these resources is that they are designed to suit any ‘letter of the week’ theme or as additions to other themes. Included are activities that cover other core learning areas and centers apart from literacy. These include math, arts and crafts, color recognition, shape identification, and more!

Letter C Activities Pack

These printables are great for literacy centers, classrooms, and homeschools and are suitable for children aged 3-5. First, let’s talk about the shop/paid pack.

We’ve got letter C playdough mats, fun mazes, puzzles, tracing pages, and more.

What makes lessons extra fun is using activities and adding a ‘fun element’. I like to use Alphabet Shaving Cream Letters along with these to make it a hands-on experience. The kids love the foam and getting messy and yes, they learn the alphabet way quicker if they enjoy it.

Included are also some cool letter C posters and flashcards. These activities have cartoon images and real-life images so you’ll have your pick. My little ones preferred cartoons and my older child opted for the more realistic images.

A neat trick is to bring in the foods that are shown on the pictures. You can bring cake and candy or some carrots! We prefer adding in some other healthier foods that begin with a C like celery, cheese and cucumbers and have the kids identify them. This builds recognition and they will associate the letter with these items.

Use the play dough and tracing activities to improve your little ones’ fine motor skills.

We have incorporated some math skills too. Count the letter C and the letter C objects, then clip the correct number. Students can also graph how many of the pictures they found. This makes math concepts easier to grasp.

1. Letter C Words Chart – Improving a child’s vocabulary is important. Practice identifying, saying and spelling words that begin with the letter C.

3. Letter C Flashcards – Choose from real-life photos and cartoon pictures to practice vocabulary words.

2. Letter C Words 3 Part Cards – Match the pictures beginning with the letter C to the word and the whole card.

Letter C Formation Handwriting and Fine Motor Skills

4. Letter C Poster – Hang it in your learning space or use it as an activity mat by tracing the letter C with a dry-erase marker.

6. Letter C Tracing Pages and Handwriting Pages – Enhance letter formation and learn how to improve handwriting with these printable worksheets and tracing strips.

8. Letter C Lacing Activity – Laminate the pieces and then cut them out. Next, punch out the holes. Use a shoelace to thread through the holes. This is excellent for fine motor development.

5. Letter C Formation Cards – Follow the steps to trace each letter. Use a marker or a finger.

25. Letter C Sound Cards – Place a bingo chip or manipulative on each circle. Then state the name of the letter, its sound and the name of the picture. This is a good activity to use as a ‘test’ or measure of progress.

27. Uppercase Letter C Craft – Cat – Follow the instructions to cut and paste to create this cool cat! Encourage more fine motor development by using the black and white pages instead.

29. Letter C Art Pages – Use your favorite art materials such as watercolors, crayons, tissue paper, etc. to decorate these letter C art pages.

31. Letter C Hats – Cut and color the pictures, trace the letters, then join to make a Letter C hat! Two options are available.

33. Letter C Dot Marker Pages – Fill in with dot markers or stickers.

28. Lowercase Letter c Craft crab – Cut the pieces and paste them onto the base page to create a crab in the shape of a lowercase letter c! Use the non-colour version to color and relax a little.

30. Letter C Watch + Bookmark – Color the bookmark and watch. Glue the watch and place it on to students’ wrists as a physical reminder.

32. Letter C Cotton Bud Painting – Use a cotton bud or cotton balls dipped in paint to complete the letters and the pictures. This is a great ‘messy play’ activity.
