Our Letter B Themed Trays
Here is a closer look:

Bird 3 and 4 piece puzzle for my toddler Aaliya.

Bee matching from File Folder Fun

Matching the right colored bear to the pattern.

I hid some small dragonflies(bugs) in the sensory pom pom tub.

Feed the frog the flies.
I printed this from online but I cant find the URL (my printer seems to have faded that part out)

Bus puzzle for my preschooler.
This is the first Melissa and Doug item that I have been really disappointed in. The puzzle pieces were so hard to get apart and the backs kept ripping. I am now very hesitant to buy any more Melissa & Doug puzzles.

Deen set this tray out himself. He said he would like to transfer the beans from two big bowls.

Add the right amount of ladybugs to each of the leaves.

Aaliya is 2 years and 2 months oldAaliya did some bead work & made herself her first bracelet. We used pipe cleaners so the beads wouldn’t fall off. Then I had her pick up the beads with the tongs. Surprisingly, she picked up every single bead until her tray was clean. She then dumped it out and did it all over again. She seems to have a great attention span and good concentration.

After she made her first bracelet she then tried using a tweezer to pick up the beads. This is such a great fine motor activity.

I have started letter of the week with both Deen and Aaliya and here she is gluing her apples to her lower case A.

I had Deen help me make glue with water and flour.

Aaliya really enjoyed her Princess Tot Pack.  I didn’t get a picture of her coloring her princesses and playing with the princess color match activity. I had her use the princess color match activity as a memory game.

She did extremely well with the princess shapes. She could name every single shape except hexagon and crescent. She said the crescent was a banana. That was such a great laugh for the day.

In the evening, Deen tested her on her shapes.

I love these sweet brother and sister moments.

Aaliya’s favorite toy right now is definitely her blocks. At 21 months old she can stack up to 9 blocks. It takes a lot of concentration… And when it falls… she giggles. Then she starts again. (My white balance is ALWAYS weird whenever I take pictures in the toy room.) I’ve read somewhere that building blocks […]

Toddler Tuesday: Pasta and An Empty Water Bottle

October 19, 2010

I gave Aaliya a bowl of uncooked pasta, an empty water bottle, and me there to watch that she doesn’t swallow anything and she concentrated on this activity for 30 minutes straight. She loved putting all the pasta pieces into the bottle then closing the lid and shaking it up to hear the musical sound […]

I’ve included 3 pages to this activity. The first page is for the youngest kids, just cut and have them place the spots wherever they want on […]
