Try out these exciting Letter E Activities for preschool, pre-k or kindergarten students. These endless learning opportunities help students to practice letter recognition, letter formation, beginning sounds and more. The activities are hands-on and even include a set of worksheets to review many skills.

Letter E Preschool Pack
First, let’s talk about the shop (paid) version…
This learning and activity pack focuses on the fifth letter of the alphabet, the letter E. All of these printable activities target a wide range of skills including early literacy skills and phonics. These activities focus on both the uppercase and lowercase letter E and words that begin with the letter E.
Letter E Activities Pack
Tons of activities are included to suit different learning needs such as games, playdough mats, puzzles, letter formation activities and more!.
There are letter E posters and flash cards with real-life pictures and cute cartoon images. The playdough mats and letter craft activities are ideal for improving fine motor skills.
There’s also clip cards, uppercase and lowercase letter sorting, and even math activities suc as graphing.
These alphabet printables are great for literacy centers, classrooms, and homework packets. The worksheets can even be used during a test to review skills.
Letter E Vocabulary
1. Letter E Words Chart – Words that begin with the letter E. Laminate it and display on a wall or on the fridge so it can be reviewed and repeated.
3. Letter E Flashcards – Featuring real-life photos and cartoon pictures for vocabulary words beginning with E. Laminate and hide them in a sensory bin for an interactive activity- this works well by printing out two copies and having the kids match them.
2. Letter E Words 3 Part Cards – Match the pictures beginning with the letter E to the word and the whole card. Matching activities improves memory and vocabulary!
Letter E Formation Handwriting and Fine Motor Skills
4. Letter E Poster – Display it in a learning space or use it as an activity mat by tracing the letter E with a dry-erase marker.
6. Letter E Tracing and Writing pages – Develop letter formation and practice writing the letter E with these worksheets and tracing strips. Use scissors to practice cutting skills where appropriate.
8. Letter E Lacing Activity – Prepare these tracing cards so students can follow the shape of the uppercase and lowercase letters and sound picture card. Also have them repeat it ‘e-is-for-egg’.
5. Letter E Formation Cards – Follow the steps to form each letter. Trace with a dry-erase marker or finger. Tracing develops pre-writing skills.
7. Letter E Playdough Mats – Each activity mat includes a template for making the letter/object with playdough and tracing it with a marker. Use different colors and make the playdough yourself!
9. Build the Letter E – Grab your building hats and use the pieces and templates provided to build the uppercase and lowercase Letter E.
Letter E Identification Cards
10. Letter E Clip Cards – Includes uppercase and lowercase letter identification and beginning sound pictures. Simply use a clothespin and clip!
12. Letter E Count and Clip Cards – Count the letter E’s or pictures beginning with E and clip the correct number. This combines math, visual discrimination and image recognition.
14. Letter E Sorting Activity – Sort the uppercase and lowercase letters into the correct house or jar on the activity mats. Sort the uppercase letter E with the lowercase one.
16. Letter E Dot/Sticker Pages – Use a dot marker or colored circle stickers to fill each picture beginning with the letter E. Kids will also practise tracing the name of each object.
11. Find the Letter E Pages – Students can cover or circle the letter E as they find it!
13. Letter E Color Activity – Match the uppercase and lowercase letters according to color to improve color recognition.
15. Highlight and Color the Letter E – Either color, highlight, or cover the letter e on each activity card. This is a great way to teach kids to follow instructions or prompts.
17. Letter E Sticker Page – Write uppercase and lowercase E’s on dot stickers. Students then stick them in the correct spot on the egg. This is a fun hands-on activity.
Letter E Games, Puzzles & Patterns
18. Letter E Puzzles – Including uppercase and lowercase letters and letter-to-picture puzzles. Puzzles are a good way of improving problem-solving skills.
20. Letter E Spin and Cover/Trace – Place or make a spinner on each circle. Then cover or trace the uppercase or lowercase letters on the activity mat with each spin.
22. Letter E Dice + Graphing Pages –
a) Count the pictures and letters and graph what you find!
b) Roll a die and trace the letter corresponding to each number rolled.
19. Letter E Mazes – Cover each letter E or picture that starts with E to find a path through the mazes. The mazes are either alphabet or letter-sound-themed.
21. Letter E Patterns – Continue each pattern featuring uppercase and lowercase letters and pictures beginning with E. Recognizing patterns is an important preschool skill.
23. Letter E Alphabet Game – Add a spinner to the circle or use a dice to move on the game board. Read or say what you see where you land. This is a very interactive game and kids love it!
Letter E Reading & Letter Sounds
24. Letter E Reading Strips – Read the sentences and either add a tick to the box or paste the matching picture. Reading strips are a good way to promote reading because the strips are easy, short and have images.
26. Letter E Mini Books – Includes a foldable mini book and a flip book featuring pictures and words starting with the letter E. It has a space for the kids to write their names which adds a personal touch.
25. Letter E Sound Cards – Place a counter or token under each letter or picture as you read/say it.
Letter E Crafts and Art Activities
27. Uppercase Letter E for Elephant Craft – Follow the instructions to cut and paste and create this cool elephant! Encourage more creativity by using the black and white pages instead of the color versions.
29. Letter E Art Pages – Use any art materials such as watercolors, crayons, and tissue paper, etc to decorate these letter E art pages. Add texture, pom poms, buttons, googly eyes or anything you have.
31. Letter E Hats – Color the pictures, trace the letters, then cut and join to make a Letter E hat! Two variations are included.
33. Letter E Dot Marker Pages – Use dot markers or colored circle stickers to dot the letter E’s or complete the E pictures.
28. Lowercase Letter E for egg Craft – Cut the pieces and paste them onto the base page to create an egg! This is also a cute idea for a DIY brunch invite.
30. Letter E Watch + Bookmark – Color the pictures and trace the letter E on the bookmark and watch. Attach the watch to students’ wrists as a physical reminder of the letter E!
32. Letter E Cotton Bud Painting – Use a cotton bud dipped in paint to complete the letters and the pictures. This is a fun fine motor activity.
